It is a truth universally acknowledged that on a day of intermittent showers and sunshine, the heaviest rain will begin when the school bell rings, and continue for all of the 10 minutes it takes for children to get from their classrooms to the car.

  3. There’s another one of those, like, that you’ll hang out the washing in the morning of the first fine day for weeks, only for it to get wet again when it rains at the end of the day and your hubby at home is away picking up your daughter from school.
