Miss Nine has become Miss Ten, today.
I can’t get my head around the idea of having a 10 year old daughter. It seems such a short time since she was a beautiful baby girl.
She’s growing up TOO FAST.
Update: She has decorated her cake herself.

Yes indeed it is! It’s my favourite chocolate cake recipe.
Miss Ten can make it herself, but she was too busy being cool with her new iPod yesterday to turn her hand to baking.

No, alas. This time she had just two friends ovcr for a sleepover, so we had a family dinner. At request, we had hamburgers (my home made ones, of course) for dinner – they’re her favourite. And we had crepes with maple syrup and lemon juice for breakfast the next day.
She is having a big sleep-in today, no doubt due to staying up ’til 2am on Sunday morning, and then getting up early with her friends.

My Miss Nine becomes a Miss Ten this Saturday, but mine doesn’t like cake so it has to be ice-cream cake instead. Which is a shame because, as I see your daughter understands, cake decorating is one of the best things about birthdays
