In a strange land

Playing with the big kids

I’ve been asked to blog the NZ election at Larvatus Prodeo, along with Idiot / Savant.

(Chortles with delight and hugs herself with glee.)

This is almost as exciting as when Julie asked me to be part of The Hand Mirror.

I’ve put my first post up at LP, following on from I/S’s fine introduction to the NZ election.

Go read it there: A question of character.

    Yay for you, that’s fantastic!

That’s wonderful, Deborah, I’m going to really look forward to your unique take on events.
On a related topic – you don’t think that avoiding voting Labour because of their unwillingness to rule out working with Winston isn’t kind of cutting off your nose to spite your face?
(there’s far too many negatives in that sentence, sorry).
I’ll vote Labour again, as always, despite the Winston thing, because the thought of a National administration in any form, even with the Maori party in coaltion, scares me and I won’t support it.

Only if you think Labour is the only game in town for the left, and that any vote for any other party is wasted and will harm the prospect of a left-wing government.

That may have been true under FPP, but it died 15 years ago.

I’m still happiest with Labour’s overall direction (especially since the the ETS has progressed, and despite Winston). So I guess they are the only game in town for me.

Great news Deborah. I’ve not be following Australian blogs that closely of late but LP is easily one of the best – I look forward to your (and IPs) commentary.
